Silk Laser approached JDS in 2016 with a view to rolling out retail digital signage as they opened new stores in Adelaide and Darwin.
A combination of 46” and 55” commercial LCD panels within the store’s reception area provide promotional content, whilst high-brightness panels have been installed for street facing locations to engage with passing pedestrian traffic.
Silk Laser chose to host the DC Media digital signage software on their own server. Alternatively, there is the option to go totally cloud via a subscription per media player.
DC Media supports a wide range of content formats including images, video, HD video, RSS scrollers, XML, Twitter feeds, live TV, HD live TV, Microsoft Office documents, PDF, IPTV streaming and HTML5.
Silk Laser can schedule content to play by date, time, time of day, day of the week, interval or player attribute. Day parting gives them the opportunity to play content based on the time of day.
